More About us

We aren't perfect

The doctrine of the Lord's church, is established by the Lord's word. Worship and conduct are based on commands of The New Testament. descriptions of the first century church provide example and inference of God's original intent.  We observe the command to take the Lord's Supper (communion) consisting of un-leaven bread and fruit of the vine every Sunday. We find this example several times in The New Testament and therefore infer that it was done on the first day of each week and did not consist of milk and cookies.

Lessons are prepared in that simple manner, with book, chapter, and verse references included. We teach from 1st and 2nd Corinthians, not 1st and 2nd opinions. Striving to study God's word in context not as a buffet, selecting only what we agree with. God's instructions and expectations are clearly defined through his word. From regular study, we seek to follow the example of Jesus and be the church he gave his life to establish. Our name, Church of Christ is taken from Romans 16:16
